Neural Therapy

NEURAL THERAPY

Empirical discovery by two German doctors (Huneke brothers) in 1926 when attempting to treat their sister who had migraine.
Used by 35% of German doctors.
Involves injections of fairly dilute local anaesthetic agents to scars and /or other “interference fields”, which relieve pain and treat other conditions that are thought to result from a disturbance of the autonomic nervous system and the internal milieu.

Can be very useful when a pain or other symptom began after a particular surgical procedure or injury.
